Orange and Blue, a great first strathspey to learn on the bagpipes!

If you're asked to pipe for some highland dancers, the highland fling, along with the sword dance is one of the most popular Scottish Highland dances. to pipe for the highland fling, you will need to learn how to play a strathspey. I can't recommend Orange and Blue enough! Not only is it a very common bagpipe tune for the Highland fling, it's also a great sounding Strathspey and not too difficult for beginner and intermediate bagpipers.
